Amy & Jacob

ALL ABOUT THE CHASE: Amy met Jacob through mutual friends however she spent thirteen months convincing him that dating each other was a good idea. He was in denial about their relationship for a long time before he accepted the fact that were indeed ‘a thing!

THE PROPOSAL: These lovers had been on many adventures together but this proposal took Amy completely off guard. Amy is a very organised person and hates surprises, so Jacob had his work cut out for him! He enlisted the help of Amy’s bestie (her maid of honour), and Amy believed she was meeting her gal pal in the city for dinner and drinks on a Monday night. Jacob turned up instead and took her to their favourite restaurant (Spice Temple), up the Eureka Sky Deck, and then to the bar where they had their very first drink together. This is where Jacob got down on one knee and popped the big question! The ring box was quite large and unfortunately didn’t fit in his pocket, so Amy definitely knew it was coming the entire night… good thing she doesn’t like surprises!

THE MORE, THE MERRIER: The couple had their ceremony at Box Hill Salvation Army with 300 people in attendance. Their reception took place at Coombe Yarra Valley, with 160 of their nearest and dearestTheir flowers were centred around king proteas with roses and traditional elements peeping through. Amy describes the wedding as the ‘coming together of three families, a true celebration of love, family and commitment.’

By far the highlight of the day was their personal vows. Amy and Jacob chose to write vows to each other, as well as recite the traditional vows. Amy says that she will never forget the promises they made that day, or their reactions to each other’s vowsHer second highlight was the flash mob the couple and their bridal party managed to pull off after 12 weeks of dance lessons. A three song, six minute mash up with seven people who couldn’t dance (besides Amy), the odds weren’t in their favour! But their bridal party put in the hours and learnt the steps and it turned out better than they would have ever imagined!

WHY BRIDESMAIDS DRESSING ROOM?: Bridesmaids Dressing Room took the stress out of finding three bridesmaids dresses for three completely different girls. My initial ideas of colour and style were completely written off once we tested the waters with a few dresses. Aneta was warm, welcoming and made the process so easy. She was so attentive and suggested styles and colours that looked fabulous on all three of my bridesmaids. Her knowledge of fashion, body types and what complements certain wedding dress styles was evident from the beginning. She made my girls feel a million bucks from the very start to the final fitting!

OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH BRIDESMAIDS DRESSING ROOM: The Bridesmaids Dressing Room was exceptional and beyond compare. The attention to detail, professionalism and industry knowledge we experienced was simply amazing. We searched high and low for dresses prior to coming to Bridesmaids Dressing Room and I would recommend going nowhere else. Save yourself time and energy and start there! One of my bridesmaids is now getting married and we’ve already got our dresses from Bridesmaids Dressing Room. So good!
