ASHLEY’S WEDDING DAY STORY
HIGH SCHOOL LOVE: Ashley and Jake met in 2009 at the age of 15. They began dating a couple of months after meeting and haven’t looked back!
THE PROPOSAL: ‘Simple’ and ‘to the point’ is how Ashley describes their proposal. Jake simply turned to Ashley and said, ‘how about we stop talking about marriage, and just get married?!’ He handed Ashley a positive battery terminal from the dash of his ute as temporary engagement ring, which Ashley still has!
COUNTRY-STYLE CELEBRATIONS: The couple’s wedding took place at Big Hill Vineyard in Ravenswood, with the ceremony held beside the venue’s dam, sitting between two big and beautiful trees. 85 guests were in attendance, with celebrations sporting a rustic/ country theme with nude undertones and a relaxed atmosphere.
Ashley says that not only was it a day to remember, but she also wishes the day didn’t have to come to an end. The best part of her big day was the life-long commitment she made to her now husband, and the intimate, individually written vows they shared amongst friends and family.
BRIDES DRESS: Demetrios dress from Raffaele Ciuca. It featured a lace bodice, a-line skirt and lace detailing around the base.
