Rachael & Michael

HIGH SCHOOL FRIENDS TO SWEETHEARTSRachael and Michael met at high school but it wasn’t until after their graduation that they decided to make things ‘official.’

THE PROPOSAL: Seven years of dating led to the moment Michael finally got down on one knee to pop the big question! He romantically planned a picnic under a tree by Albert Park at dusk – the perfect intimate setting to ask Rachael to marry her. Of course, she said yes through many happy tears!

BLACK AND GOLD GLAM:  The couple’s ceremony was held at St Dominic’s Catholic Church in Camberwell, followed by their reception at The Park in Albert Park. A black and gold theme was chosen for the happy festivities with Levian Events assisting to decorate the venue with beautiful white flowers and greenery atop gold towers on black linen tables. Being Italian, 150 of the couple’s nearest and dearest enjoyed a fun-filled evening dancing to the tarantella.

Rachael says it was such a magical night that she did not want it to end, and that it’s difficult for her to choose one moment as her favourite takeaway from the day. From their first dance, the food, and the ability to finally celebrate their love with her friends and family – all these things resulted in the couple’s perfect day.

WHY BRIDESMAIDS DRESSING ROOM?:  I chose Bridesmaids Dress Room because of Aneta’s outstanding customer service. Aneta gave the girls and I the guidance we needed to feel comfortable and confident right from the start.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH BRIDESMAIDS DRESSING ROOM: Seamless. I was interested in the Shona Joy collection and Aneta did not waste any time in showing us all the styles and colours available. She helped us to select a style and colour that would suit all the girls. The dresses also arrived within the expected time frame, a must for a stress-free bride-to-be!”
